Privacy Policy

CoReader ยท Effective 30 September 2026

CoReader does not collect any data about you. There are no accounts, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking.

Your books and notes

The books you open, and the highlights, notes, bookmarks and reading progress you create, are stored only on your device. They are never sent to us. If you choose to store books in your own iCloud Drive, Apple handles that under its own privacy policy.

Reading aloud and text recognition

Speech is generated on your device, using Apple's system voices or CoReader's optional neural voice. Text recognition for scanned pages also runs on your device. The text of your books never leaves your device.

Downloading the neural voice

If you choose the optional neural voice on the Mac, CoReader downloads the voice files from Hugging Face (huggingface.co). Like any download, that server receives your device's IP address to deliver the files. Nothing about you or your books is sent. See Hugging Face's privacy policy for how it handles requests.

Children

CoReader collects no data from anyone, including children.

Changes and contact
